Artist Profile
L-Vis 1990
Label:
Agent: Belinda Law
Deeply rooted in the fabric of London’s vibrant scene, L-VIS couples a defined British style with elements of global low end vibrations. By fusing elements of Garage, House, Dubstep and all around Bass Heavy riddims, L-VIS’s sound is filtered and reduced into what can best be described as a minimalist take on rhythmic club beats floating on elephantine subs.
As his original perspective on dance music has attracted the attention of DJ’s world wide, L-VIS dubs have become a staple in the live sets of Diplo, Drop the Lime, Sinden, Brodinski, Crazy Cousinz, Teki Latex and Orgasmic.
Fans of his sound wait anxiously for much anticipated remixes of Crystal Fighters, Diplo and Laidback Luke to be released on the hailed Kitsune and Dim Mak labels while the anthemic United Groove EP will be seeing it’s 12” press on the power house Mad Decent imprint.
There’s no question that L-Vis 1990 is one of the few leading the charge in this new bass renaissance. Those lucky enough to catch his unique Dr Frankenstein like deconstruction of bass genres at Fabric (London),Social Club (Paris) Scala (Berlin) Night Slugs vs T&B (London) are some of the few witnessing the birth of the new school.
